For as long as I can remember, my family found some of the most valuable information in the special needs community not from textbooks or formal guides, but from conversations. From sitting in the bleachers at basketball games to respite nights with local organizations, parents are constantly working together to be the best advocate, coordinator, and planner they can be for their loved ones. As a new parent myself, it’s become even more clear that parents will do whatever it takes to care for their children.
